Discussion of Ammon taking his men to look for the descendants of Zeniff, whom they find to be led by Limhi and in bondage to the Lamanites. Discussion of the symbolism connecting Ammon’s mission to deliver the people of Limhi to Christ’s mission to deliver us. Limhi delivers a sermon to his people which parallels King Benjamin’s address, and Ammon promises Limhi that Mosiah is a seer and can translate the ancient records that he has found. Also includes discussion of Zeniff’s departure from the Land of Zarahemla and the parallels between his challenges and the struggles that we all confront as we strive to return to the presence of the Father. In addition to the covered chapters, this lesson also draws from a quote by Elder John A. Widtsoe in Evidences and Reconciliations.
